New LGBTQ Club “Paris” Opens Downtown Detroit

Posted in Features

Detroit’s LGBTQ community just got a major bump in their nightlife options. Paris, a new dance music venue, just opened in the heart of downtown Detroit. The area’s first LGBTQ niteclub in years opened with much fanfare on October 3. More than 500 people attended, creating a warm welcome from the community.

The location provides the LGBTQ community with a presence in the heart of the downtown resurgence. The past several years have seen an increase in business activity, retail openings and people living in the downtown area.

Paris will be open on Fridays and Saturdays from 9PM-2AM. They plan on eventually opening on additional nights, with each day having slightly different programing. Adriel Thornton, managing partner, says “You’ll have a different experience depending on the night you come. Fridays will feature a deeper electronic sound, while Saturdays will feature a more accessible, big-room sound. We plan on curating the other nights in a similar way. No matter what, you’ll always experience the great service and atmosphere of Paris.”

Paris is located at 1346 Broadway, Detroit, MI 48226.
