Bryce Gamper, a recent transplant to Detroit, takes a moment to blog about his experiences as a gay man living in the city. “Being gay in Detroit is a totally new experience, and one that I can say has been extremely positive and inclusive. There are a lot of people here in Detroit, both native and new; that is the history that our city was founded on. In Detroit your background doesn’t matter, it’s what you are doing now, and what you want to do in the future that matters – that is the question people will ask when you meet them, not what you are or who you love.”
